After using dvd shrink as reccommended by this site for many years i was recently given a movie on cd-r and wish to copy Backup these files unfortunately the files are too big to fit on a cd even though they are on the same size cd, is there a cdshrink like dvdshrink that anyone would reccommend using many thanks Alan
if it's just a cd, those files should fit on another standard 700mb blank. what process are you trying to use? you should be able to just do a simple copy and burn with any cd-writing program.
Yes thats what i thought the cd-r is 700mb with a downloaded movie film given to me by a friend. when i try to copy it it says not enough room and looking at the data there is about 840mb on the 700mb disc, has some form of compression or shrinking been used, so far non of the programs ie nero etc have been able to copy it. I would happily convert it to dvd files but the process looks like more bother than its worth for one cd copy. even tried saving it to my dvd recorder (domestic tv) but that function was not available. I read the front of the disc to be able to reply to you its a verbatim 52x 700mb cd-r , i don't understand either
