I just started using my ilo dvdr05 today. Tried to copy a store bought vhs tape, and the unit said it was copy protected and wouldn't copy it. Is there any way around this? What are the little black boxes that I have seen on other forums? Do they work? Is that what I need? Very confused.
I may have put this question in the wrong forum. Sorry. Any help would be appreciated. I have been reading these replies for hours and I think I'm getting more confused.
I dont know if its this way on all recorders but onmy ilo dvr04 I have successfully recorded many copy protected vhs and dvds bystartign the recording before the tape. What I mean is I hit record on the ilo, let it go for a couple seconds to make sure it is recording then I hit play on my vcr. Has worked everytime.
