copy vhs to dvd

    iI have a lot of movies that i own i need information on how to copy them to a dvd. I am running win xp home 2.6 with 80g hard drive 1 g memory. i use dvd shrink and dvd43 free please help i have a poineer 09 dvd recorder. what do i need in the way of hardware and softwear

    The first thing you will need is a capture device unless you have an ATI all in wonder video card. My other recommendation to you is another big hard drive to capture the video to, capturing to the same drive that holds your O/S can lead to problems. Nero 6xx is capable of capturing, when I first started to do what you want to do Scenalyzer was recommended as a program to capture which I still use. If you need a capture device you will notice in the forums that any of the Canopus devices are highly recommended, they are not the cheapest though. I have the Canopus ACEDVIO which fits in a PCI slot and has been excellent.
