Copying a DVD with a duplicator

    Would anyone with any experience with this be able to tell me... if you put a DVD+R disc into duplicator, that has been burned with book setting set to DVD-ROM, will that book setting be transferred to the blanks in the duplicator (blanks being +R's as well of course)

    no, you would still have to have a duplicator capable of burning to booktyped settings and change your options for it to do so.

    This is an Aligent 1 to 7 DVD Controller...can't seem to find much out about whether or not is it capable of doing this or not. For that matter, if I need to upgrade the firmware on it..I'll be SOL, for as far as I can tell, there is no manufacturer's site to download any upgrades, even though one of the features of this unit is "easily upgradable with indertion of upgrade CD...

    So far it has made good copies that play ok in my little cheapo DVD player from Wal-Mart, but that don't mean much since it practically plays everything...lol
