I have tried the method using alcohol 120% and twincreator. i made a coaster.
I tried the clone cd and twinpeak method and also made a coaster.
I tried burning with Blindwrite 4.5.7.92 and also made a coaster.
I followed several guides trying to copy frozen throne which uses securom 4.8x without luck. Has anyone ever tried these methods with frozen throne cause i need help. also some program runs RPMS emulation without telling me, i not sure if its blindwrite that does that. but emulations in alcohol is disabled however if i load a mds image made in alcohol 120% using the securom 4.8x profile it works and this is wierd because it not supposed to.

What make/model of burner are you using? Backing up the newer protections is very hardware dependant.

in a120, when you're making the DPM measurements, are you using high precision? :)

How to back up Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne

    TOOLS:
Blindwrite Suite 4.5.7.92 (including the BWA Builder).
BWA Builder 5.1 (requires registered Blindwrite 5).
Plextor Premium drive for best burn results.

1.) Disable all antivirus software or any other software that may disrupt the process. Start blindread select "dump the image of a cdrom" and click next. insert the TFT cd and select the drive in which it is located. just below the drive selection, there are 2 options "authorize the use of alternative read method" and "extract subcodes", UNTICK both. [Note: TFT has no subchannel data nor is there an atip check]. Image file output format is "Blindwrite BWT;BWI;BWS". Main image file name can be anything but i will use "TFT" as an example. click next.

2.) "Choose extraction method" select "Nibble". Enable "adapt speed" minimum "1X" maximum "max".[NOTE slow read speed is better]. Click read. When the image is complete blindread will ask you "Do you want to extract Physical media layout (BWA file)?". Click NO because that old version of BWA Builder included with Blindwrite suite 4.5.7.92 does not make accurate BWA files. At this time you should have 2 files in the destination directory, viz: "TFT.BWI" and "TFT.BWT".

3.) Launch BWA Builder 5. Under "options" menu, there are 5 options. For best results DISABLE "Real-Time Drawing", and leave everything else enabled. Click start. when the media topology is finished reading u should get a nice graph with about 4 parts containing spikes. Go to the "File" menu and click "clean last loaded curve" upon doing this you should obtain an excellent curve. Save the file as TFT.BWA in the same folder with the other 2 files previously created. Exit the BWA Builder.

4.) Launch Blindwrite 4.5.7.92. go to blindwrite configuration and click next. Look for 2 options "Autoplay support" and "Enhance weak sectors" and make sure they are BOTH DISABLED. click next and go to "start cd writing wizard" click next. you should now be seeing some info about your cd writer, make sure it supports RAW PW. click advanced, make sure DAO Pw is enabled, if not then manually select it and click save changes. Manually change "Max write" and "Suggested speed" to '1'. [this is to ensure that the cd writes at 1x, burning at faster speeds will only lead to faulty cds]. click save cnahges then click next. Select the cd rom image file you created {TFT.BWT} and click next. you will be on the cd image verification page, click start to begin the verification process. The important things you have to look for are "Image consistency - HD image ok", "Physical media - Physical data found use dao pw or pq writing mode" and "synthesis - this image is good". once those 3 are verified then you should get a good copy. click next.

5.) you should now be in the "write cd-rom" page. under writing mode select "DAO Pw" and speed "x1". click go. A window will popup asking you "Do you want to physically include BWA informations" click YES. Once completed, you can now use this cd you have created to play the game. Note this copy may not be able to act as an install cd so it is recommended that you burn another copy of this game using a regular burning software such as nero.

    ^Everything is to be replicate^

no problem gouldinio, glad to help.

I have some good news for those of you who play Warcraft 3 : The Frozen Throne. I have tried this on 2 separate machines with success. Instead of wasting time trying to copy the securom 4.8x Frozen Throne cd, you can actually play Frozen Throne using the original Warcraft 3 cd. Warcraft 3 : Reign of Chaos is much easier to copy and can be done using clone cd. i wont make a lengthy guide, instead i will speak of a few settings to use.

Make sure read subchannel data from data tracks is enabled, read speed max will work. You can disable reading subchannel data from audio tracks if you want although this is optional since War3:ROC only has 1 data track and no audio tracks. Note error skip settings can be anything, you should not get any read errors during the image dumping, if you get errors then remake the image because War3:ROC is protected only by subchannel data (securom) and has no bad sectors.

When writing the image to cd ENABLE "don't repair subchannel data" because we do not want clone cd to edit the subchannel data in any way. Ignore weak sectors (if this option is available).

Note cd-rw media does not support subchannel data therefore this method will only work with cd-r media.
Write at low speeds preferably (about 8x), and disable buffer underun technology , i'm not too sure but when buffer underrun kicks in it leaves a tiny space on the cd, i have no idea whether this would affect the quality of the copy.

Not a bad guide m8, not bad at all.:) Please keep in mind this is a guide on how to backup SecuROM 4.8.x Twinpeak write method, which requires a "play cd"(bwa file enabled) and a "install disc"(no bwa file enabled). This doesn't apply to Plex Premium owners as the Plex Premium writes VariRec , a special "write" feature designed for SecuROM backups.
When reading the topology of a SecuROM pc protected game, it is highly recommended to read at fast speeds. I find 40x to be very accurate for me but you can experiment at higher and lower speeds. The key to backing up SecuROM 4.8 is to get a "perfect" BWA file.
The less spikes, the better.:) If your ROM is capable of reading sub-q channel data\audio, then "most" of us can backup SecuROM 4.85 I've had success backing up SecuROM 4.85 using CloneCD\TwinPeak, Blindwrite 4.25, 4.57 and Blindwrite 5. I personally recommend using Blindwrite 5& Blindwrite Tweaker for backing up SecuROM 4.85& up. I've read SecuROM 4.8 at max and at lower speeds as well as writing at max and lower speeds and my backups work. I personally recommend reading at 24x and burning 8x. Keep in mind that Blindwrite 5 reads topology(BWA file) at max by default.

I followed the instructions exactly as they are stated and I used the same versions CDKILLER reccomended that I use. However, when I went to complete the process and burn the disc- HD IMAGE OK and SYNTHESIS THIS IMAGE IS GOOD were fine and Physical data said "none". I burned it in DAO Pw and it never asked me to load my .BWA file.

    Please help! Thanks =)

It seems you skipped on the topology measurements?
