Hi, I have an MKV video file which looks great but unfortunately the audio sounds like it's coming out of a drainpipe (that's the only way I can describe it).

Are there some type of audio filters or something else I can do to correct the sound, without having to re-process it?

    Cheers!

You can demux the audio using MkvToolnix and load it into the likes of Audacity or GoldWave to try and correct it.
It would still have to be muxed back with the video:you can't get around processing it.

For in-depth help, I would post at the Videohelp site - but they will probably want a short representative clip of the video before offering opinions.

Thanks. I was thinking I might have to do that, but I'm not sure what I have to do to correct this particular audio anomaly. I'll head on over to Videohelp, cheers!
