Try switching you media. The ones you are using now are made by Prodisc and not always great or compatible with drives. For this drive I'd try and get 8x media. Ones to use would be Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or made in Japan Fuji, Sony or Maxell. I have this same drive and it's quite picky on media - esp. 16x.
the disk's im using right now r fujifilm dvd+r ... regardless if i think about it the problems have pretty well started when i started this new spindle of disks ...im gonna get some new disks today and try again ...this has totally drove me nuts thank you so much for ur help!
Not a problem rj007 Look for the made in Japan Fuji's - the ones you have are made in Taiwan. Keep us posted!
binkie 7 i went and got some memorex dvd-r ... just burnt a disk everything is fine! shit man those other disks r coasters now... ive never had this problem before with those fuji disks but i wont be buying those disks again. anyway thanx a million
You're welcome rj007 Brands like Fuji and Memorex use different manufacturers so you can get a different one. Watch the Memorex too - they can use some really iffy manufacturers. If you can't get made in japan media in store go for Verbatim or Sony.
