Hello, I've gotten myself in a small bind. 1, I have the Action Replay, installed and all, but, I'm getting this message when I roll my mouse of the AR icon in the lower right corner "The USB device failed to enumerate", no I've already done a search and only found 1 article, so, yes I've already tried every USB port on my PC, all of my prepherals are connected by USB and I've moved them all around trying to get it to work. 2, Also... my computer seems to pick the memory card up as a USB Mass storage device after I plug the card in, no I'm not sure if this is suppose to happen, if so, I would assume this to be my problem/ conflict. I'd appreciate the help, thanks.
Have you launched the AR GUI? It's just a matter of drag and drop to tranfer rar archived saves onto the card. The mem card does detect as a storage device. It's a usb flash drive, so that's all good.
Err.. I'm not running windows but I'll have a look and see if I can get it to work. Sitting looking at an AR unit right now.. Well I've had a go but because I'm having to run it in wine it's giving me troubles. My machine didn't detect the memory unit but I'm unsure about mounting usb drives. I didn't have a problem with it at all on windows apart from making the saves up into the right format Have a look on http://www.codejunkies.com for a guide and download a couple of saves for it. Maybe you need to uninstall it and try installing again. Gotta go now for my weekly reboot because I can't get it to exit
Are you using the AR memorycard or an Xbox one? I don't know if that would matter but I have heard that sometimes it won't work with Xbox memorycards.
It sounds like either the AR software isn't installed properly or there isn't a folder containing the saves in the AR directory. I'd reinstall it from the disk. Can't help any more because I can't run it.
Ok, this is what seems to happen. With the AR app launched, I plugged in the mem card, and yes I'm using the one that came in the package, when plugged in, the AR logo actually flashes and then stays grey. All AR directories are intact. As far as I know, I followed the manual, step for step, installed the AR app from the CD (ver. 1.42), and then plugged the usb piece of the card adapter, and then plugged in the card with AR launched. The next part though, according to the manual, I should get a message to install drivers, it didn't. I also can't seem to figure out how to install the driver properly through windows pro, if that is the problem, I tried to follow the driver installation instructions, by going to start, control panel, add hardware, but... a step in the directions seems to be different, it tells me to select "other devices" but I just get a list of devices, and show all, so I clicked show all, scrolled down a rather large list and found Datel, went there, installed the driver, which in turn came up as MaxDriver within my "Device Manger". I don't know what's going on why this is happening... I'm stumped... ONE MORE THING, when I roll the mouse over the icon in the lower right corner near the clock, I have this message, "the USB Device failed to enumerate"
It actually installed on mine by running setup.exe off the cd. It would work fine if I had all the dll's. Try not autorunning the disk and unstead opening the cd and running setup. It's an auto installer. Remove it from the list of installed programs first.
Ok, installed by manually selecting the setup file did no good for me... err, this is irritating, LOL, I'm still getting this message though, "The USB device failed to enumerate"
Give me a chance to put XP on a drive and I'll check it out... Back in about 30 mins..maybe a bit more. lol
Double post I know... Sorry I've been so long. I can't get it to not work. I've been trying to duplicate the fault all night and there isn't a problem. The only thing is when mine was plugged in it found the drivers in XP pro, which put up the usual bubble USB mass storage device..and then MaxDrive. That was before the AR disk was even put in the drive. I used sp2 which I assume you are running too? It's a completely clean install, nothing else on whatsoever, so unless you have at some point uninstalled some program associated with a usb device that has removed some shared dll's then I really don't know. Sorry.. I'm shattered now.. Just been messing with it for 6 hours and I can't make it fail in the way you describe.I/ve deleted files in the datel folder and it says "cant find <insert name of deleted file>" My best shot is some of your xp drivers are missing but I don't have a clue which ones.
what type of usb ports do you have? 1.0 or 2.0? because if you have an older model PC that may very well be your problem.
It makes a difference if the USB ports are USB 1.0 and that device is designed to work with USB 2.0. Try putting a USB 2.0 pendrive in a PC that has USB 1.0 ports, it won't work, thats what I am saying could be the issue here, it just may not be compatible with his PC. So its not necessarily the age of his PC but its functionality.
As far as I know, I haven't uninstalled any other programs that would untimately remove any shared USB Dll's, aswell, I'm sure my MB does suppose 2.0, considering I see it in the bios... Still get the "The USB device failed to enumerate" and when I plug the card in, it flashes for a few, and then my pc makes that "ding" to confirm a removable drive and then a new shortcut icon on the bottom right near the clock shows, "safely remove hardware", which is fine. So... what is going on... LOL....
ok i dont know if this will help at all but when i was trying mine it gave me probs forever but then i went to control panle-system-hardware-device manager-univeral serial bus controllers-then there will be 1 or more usb mass storage devices find the one that is the max drive right click it and go to properties and then drivers-update driver-install from list-next-dont search i'll choose one-next-now you should see the ar driver for the max drive if not click have disk and change it to d:/ and try that hope this helps
Alright guys, sorry I hadn't post in a while, but yeah, anyways, it turned out to be the card... I returned it and bought a used memcard and then modded my xbox controller for use with my pc, bingo, what do you know, it worked... Nothing was wrong with my system afterall, after all this time and then to have something not work was... unsatifying, especially when it's a pc you built... so... I thought that and did it, and well... thanks for your time guys, I appreaciate it.
