okay so I am planning on getting an M3 Lite for my DS (which uses Micro SD cards) I have a couple questions regarding it: 1) can it use the 4GB MicroSD card? 2) do I need a Passcard/PassMe or will it work just fine without it? - whats the dis/advantages of having the Passcard/PassMe? thanks for helpin this newb!
1. Not to my knowledge, haven't tried it myself. 2. If you want to use DS ROMs and Homebrew, yes, but not if you only intend to use it for GBA stuff. Other than the price, there are no disadvantages, you just have a dummy card in slot-1. Though the M3/R4 slot-1 cards can do the same thing, if you have one of them, you won't need the PassCard.
okay now how a bout Supercard vs M3? whats the diff? edit: I noticed the Super Card uses the same Micro SD flash card tech, and it has a NDSL version with no stick out much like the M3 Lite.. but the SuperCard has a built in rumble pack as well.. but how good is the compatibility of the GBA roms?
From what I've heard, not so good, slow downs seem to be a big problem... But I don't have one, so I'm not really an authority on the subject.
ive heard the version 1 SC was pretty laggy if you didnt have a high quality Memory Card, and even then its in the air.. but the Version 2 seems to have that all fixed.. now is everything like the menus etc skinnable on the M3 Lite?
sorry about all the dumb questions.. I see on this site they have different deals one is M3 Lite Adapter that comes with a SuperKey for $72.00(which I imagine is the same as a passkey?) the other deal is M3 Lite Pro with a Passcard 3 for $50 and M3 Lite Professional with Superkey for $40 what is the differences in these? its all in the Passcard but is there any difference in them or they all pretty much do the same thing? (the site I got this info from is realhotstuff.com see if you know what the diff is. thanks again!
sweet also I hear the M3 is THEE most compatible with GBA games as well, this true? whats the cheapest the M3LP with PassCard3 goes for and where?
It would seem so, but I don't have any other cards to test, so... The cheapest I've found is Gameyeeeah.com, but the shipping is ridiculous... It came fast enough, though.
