anyone know how to convert other format to dat format?
i have some dat video files and it was easier to burm it in the vcd, but for other format i have to convert it to mpeg format.
so i like to convert all video files to dat format so i can easily burn it on vcd.

Dat and Mpeg-1/VCD are exactly the Same Format accept that a .Dat file has a RFF Header which is added when the Mpeg-1 file is being Formated to be Burned to CD-R in VCD Mode which is the Only way to create a Dat file....

So all you need to do is Make sure you are converting your Files to Mpeg-1 VCD Compliant Format and then you can easilly Burn them to CD-R in VCD Mode and after the File has been Burned to VCD it will be a Dat file , So Just encode to Mpeg-1 VCD and then Burn in VCD Mode and that is all you have to do as it is Not Possible to Just create a Dat file without Createing a Mpeg-1 VCD file and Burning it in VCD Mode.....

    Cheers

PS: Tmpgenc is one of the Best quality Mpeg-1/VCD encoders and the MainConcept encoder is also good and about 5 times as Fast as Tmpgenc....
