Cpu doesn't recognize my dvd burner -Code 39?

    I have a gateway 505gr with a lite-on dvdrw sohw-832Sand a Samsung cd-rom sc 148a drive.The problem is none of my burning software recoginize the drives.When i go to my cpu it doesn't even show up as listed drives.I went to the device manager and it's listed with a yellow and white exclamation point, saying windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.the driver may be corrupted or missing.(code 39).Can anybody help?

    Right click on the exclamation mark and install drivers

    I did that .Now i have a bigger problem.I deleted the upper and lower filters from the registry to fix that problem and accidentally deleted the drivers for my keyboard and mouse.So now my drive works but my keyboard and mouse doesn't.

    Well that's clever.. go back to a previous restore point, and then reinstall the dvd drivers.
