Hello everyone, This is my first post, but I have been searching this forum for some time now. I have not found an answer to one nagging problem I have had since I purchased nero 7. I appreciate any help. Here is the question. When I need to put avi movie files in the same title as picture files, the audio makes a crackling sound in the background. Is there a way to get around this? Sometimes I like to put a picture or two as an opening to a video title. If I put music in the background it has a crackling sound to it only during the picture portion of the title. I don't know why or how to get rid of it. Thanks for any help.
could be the app used? or could be the codec for the audio? or a combo of both togehter? what app you useing and what audio is it? ac3 mp3? infact what is the whole project process? ------- is the crackling still there on a burnt dvd? even before nad after process is it there?
All the audio is usually mp3 or wmv. I am usually making home videos like weddings or something like that. At the start of the video I like to do a short slide show with JPEG picture files as an intro. To me it looks nicer to open a wedding video with a short slide show of the bride/groom as an intro. I like to use the Movie Title instead of the Slide Show Title because of the enhancements and caption options, but if I start the video title with still JPEG pictures, the audio crackles in the background every time.
i still say 2 things 1 is the software that must be a bug or something, try updating to nero v8 or updating your v7 (i have used v6 for slide show, tried 3 versions of nero, v7 bugged to hell, then went to v8 which so far seems ok) but i would check the audio codec on your pc do you have the mp3 plugin serial loaded for nero theres 2 or is it running off your pc audio codec? use gspot on the mp3 to see what codecs are being used
Thanks for the help. I downloaded gspot and it looks like the audio I am using is MPEG 1 Layer 3 codec. How do I install this so nero can use it? I have found several audio packs for nero, but can't figure out how to install them.
What version of Nero 7 do you have? Perhaps, you need to update to the set version of Nero 7. http://www.nero.com/enu/downloads-nero7-update.php
There is one particular version of Nero7 that I experienced a similar thing, since updating to a later version there have been no similar problems. 7.10.1.2 is a good version
@ gwendolin, We are of the same mind. Nero 7.10.1.2 in my opinion is very reliable and well established. Extensively enough, I haven't been in a jam since updating to this version.
not sure with nero audio packs not heard of those, all my nero's came with it in, but couldnt use till you enter the appropiate serial code/number extra to the install code.
Thanks for the replies. I do have the most recent version of nero 7 (7.10.1.2). By audio pack I meant audio plug in. Sorry for the confusion. I don't really know much about codecs or plug ins, but it sounds like I need to learn. Can someone suggest a good online resource to help me get started?
I don't think this is the problem. All of these plug ins say they come with my version of Nero. Are there other audio plug ins available or could there be another solution to my problem?
