Hi guys, i've encoded with TMPGenc before and have never had this problem, however, the files i've encoded before have not had the folling audio format: 448kp, 48000Hz 5 channels, AC3 DVM. When i encode now the sound is crackling quite badly, any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Well Tmpgenc does not Natively Decode AC3 audio So it could be a Problem with Tmpgenc properly accessing the AC3 Decoder..Try installing this:
    AC3ACM Decompressor
    http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/AC3ACM/AC3ACM.zip

Installing the AC3 ACM Decompressor Might work But if you still get bad audio I would Try Extracting the audio from the AVI File to wav and then use that audio in Tmpgenc..You can demux the AC3 audio useing AVI-Mux and then encode the AC3 audio to either Mpeg audio for the (S)VCD or to wav audio and then encode that in tmpgenc....well Good luck
