Hi, I`ve got my self lost in all the software on offer to convert files to DVD. I need a program that will create a DVD folder = AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS from more or less any file. A good tip from this forum is "DivXToDVD converter " from VSO software, and maybe I`m doing something wrong but I don`t end up with a compatible file in Nero DVD import titles. It seems the GB volume is down compared to other DVDs I´ve got. Like I said I really need a "Create DVD Folder" program. I`ve tried to download ImTOO DVD Creator (Free version) but without registration it stops after 30.mins. Anybody got any more tips like the VSO converter? Thanx PAD48
@ PAD48, mistycat is right u can use nero vision to do that and u should follow alkohols guide if u r not familar with the program, i do use nero vision and have made a lot of dvds from various video clips and they have came out great. This is where u can select the quality of the video, and if u dont care about how long it takes do the 2pass instead of 1
The output should be fine, I use it all the time. With Nero Express, DVD Video files-> Add and point it to the VIDEO_TS folder and finish. Don't worry about an AUDIO_TS folder. For the low GB size you can go in Settings-> Encoding and change the minumun to something higher (4 Mbps)to better fill the disc, but on longer movies it may overshoot (> 145 min.). The new CopyXtoDVD fills the disc better.
Thanx a lot to mistycat and 300bowler ..Nero for beginners doesn`t get much clearer than that ! I followed your/the instructions and it works a treat. It is slow, but the results are worth it. A question to misticE: who make the software CopyXToDVD - is it VSO - and where can I try it out ? PAD48
I was under the impression that you had tried VSO DvixToDVD, hence my explanation. It encodes much faster than NeroVision Express, but NVE allows a merge of 2 or more files unlike DvixToDVD which will encode to multiple title sets (no merge function). NVE also has some audio sync problems at times, due to VBR mp3 sound streams I think, DvixToDVD does not (for the most part). DVixToDVD will also do subtittles (need .srt format), NVE does not.
