Creating a Wireless Home Network

Basically I have a laptop connected wirelessly to the internet and a desktop PC with all of my music on. I would just like to know how to get that music on to my laptop wirelessly, if possible at all.

Connect the PC to the network, transfer the files that way. I don't think you're gonna connect the PC to the laptop thru wireless directly. I am assuming you have a wireless router? If you do, just connect the PC to the router, run the network wizard, and you should be ready to go.

 

just connect the comps together and then drag stuff off it onto the other

 

To connet the two together do you just use a USB cable that is double ended?

 

You can connect two computers via wireless even without a router. It's called an Ad Hoc Wireless Network. Your desktop would require a wireless card too.

It would probably be easier just to connect them via an ethernet crossover cable though to just transfer files.
