Given that I have a child who has permanently sticky fingers, I would like to back up my DS games before they get ruined and I have to shell out for a replacements.

I found this online http://www.drakx.org/?p=18#comments and have followed the instructions to the letter. However, when I try to connect to the FTP server I get an error pointing me back to the .ini file (the same one as Drydo in the link).

As far as I can see all my settings are correct. I can play the original Tetris and a downloaded ROM with Wi-Fi settings so I am assuming my DS has the Wi-Fi configured correctly.

The Back-Up tool is pre-detecting my IP but is it ending .107 whereas my router says my IP ends .1. If I change the WiFi settings on DS to .107 I cannot get a connection at all, and if I change the .ini to .1 I still don't get a connection.

Please can someone somewhere give me a clue as to what I could be doing wrong

    Thanks

If you have Windows, go to Start.. Run, and type cmd.

Type ipconfig and give the results here please.

Also, you might need to forward the port that you are using on your router. Depending on the model of router you have the process is slightly different.

I have now managed to get a connection to FTP server (does help if you quote the right IP address!).

On some of my games, it says "Reading of file list" for about a minute, then it says "File Not Found." Then it lets me select my options. I try to dump the ROM or the SAV file and it shows the empty progress bar for about 30 seconds then says it failed.

Even downloaded copies of the same games (Harry Pooter and Order of Phoenix and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for example) have corrupt .SAV files created

Any tips on what's going wrong?
