creating dvd with menu for multiple avi episodes

    Hi,
    I have 3 avi episodes which I would like to all put onto one dvd and to create a menu (with audio) which I can select the episodes from. I have already converted the avis to dvd format, however how do I create the menu with audio and have it linked to these episodes? (for free). I tried using DVD Lab Pro (trial version) and after compiling my nice new menu it creates a _menu.vob file that Nero won't allow me to burn. Any other programs, ways to do with from scratch or other suggestions? Thanks!!!
