creating video from gif and mp3

    is it possible. ultimately i want it in an ipod format but hey beggars cant be choosers i can always convert anyway. thanks 4 any help. i get the feelin im goin 2 be told its not possible though lol

    Definatly possible. Just convert the gif to SP MPEG-4 or BP AVC, the mp3 to LC aac, then mux to mp4 and you are done (also need to keep the iPod's resolution constraints, whatever they are).

    Only thing really to be careful of is the resolution, since as RGB gifs's can be odd resolutions. For a free converter for the gif, you could try mencoder. For the mp3, iTunes, Nero, etc. although strickly speaking an mp4 can use mp3 audio. Just don't picture it working on an iPod, despite the fact that it can obviously handle decoding mp3.

    ok then thanks 4 ur help i will try it out when i get home tonight as i am in college atm. i hope u dont mind me askin but 'mux' is that a program or a proccess. sorry i dont really deal with videos 2 much. thanks again

    Mux as in "multiplexing" where multiple streams are combinied into a a single container. So yes, a process.
