I'm in the process of doing some upgrading on my pc and before I go out and buy a new card I was wondering if this might be possible or not
I have at the moment an ati x1950 crossfire graphic card installed in a pci e slot the mobo has an extra slot for a second graphic card, but the x1950 card is only dx10 compatible if I bought another ati crossfire capable card and made the x1950 the slave card and the new dx11 card the master would I be able to run any programs that use the dx11 capabilities ok or would i encounter problems.
I should also metion that the master pci e slot is 1.0 or 1.1 not sure. I know that the new card will not run at its full potential as most cards are pci e 2.0 would this make much difference.

crossfire dosent work across different line-ups. if you desire crossfire find another x1950 i would say, or see if you can find a newer card that would work thats more powerful.
