crossover cable and plain ethernet cable..

    This may be a dumb question, but i was curious what the difference between a crossover cable and a plain ethernet cable? Thanks!

    A crossover cable goes from one computer DIRECTLY to another computer. A plain cable is used to connect to a hub which in turn is connected to another computer.
