What is a good bitrate and size of file to give decent quality for movies. I ripped a few movies which were in the 2hr length and moved the bitrate adjustment to around the middle and came out with movies in the 1.2gig range but when I look on the net most "ipod" movies are in the 350ish mb range. Are the movies on the net a crappy quality at that size or am I wasting my time converting movies to that size?
512kbps is enough. Just adjust bitrate value, convert dvd/video to iPod file with both good video quality and small size. If you use the full version, you can also select "ipod h.264" as the output format which has small file size.
