    yellow ebery1 ^_^!

I'm trying to customize menu buttons for a DVD main menu

Does anyone know how you can actually use a gif or PNG for chapter buttons when making a title menu for a DVD using nero 6,7 or trail ver of 8 and actually have background of said button image be transparent instead of eating away from menu's main/wallpaper image?

nothing I do or try seems to work, I'll either get a black or white background around my "gif/PNG button image" that I created, which then in turn is superimposed on a "wallpaper/title menu main image"

AKA looks BAD.. really REALLY BAD! >;(

I would think that nero doesn't support transparent images except the vast majority of the button's offered in various templates have transparent backgrounds themselves.

sorry if this is a nOOb's question, but at 6:40am after fighting, searching and screaming for 6'ish hrs I've broken down and need help. not to mention some sleep -_-ZZZzzz...

Not sure if this is what you need. The buttons are .png format.
The transparent part is red 255,0,0.
The frame (where the picture appears) is green 0,255,0.

    thanks for the reply :)

I try to do a better job explaining the issue I'm having.

let's use your image as an example of a "button".

the idea was that I'd use PNG images as button's on top of a JPEG "Master image" for the main menu.

the issue I'm having is that the red area which is supposed to be translucent isn't. therefore instead of having...a colorful "Saturn button" on top of a starry background, I get Saturn in a red box on top of a starry background.
