Hi! I am looking for a program that automatically cuts silences out of the middle of a large mp3. I record from the net which brings with it that sometimes when there are small streaming problems, there is a period of digital silence in the middle of my tracks. In worst cases, there's like twenty streaming problems and I end up having to manually edit 20 complete silences out of my mp3. I have found plenty of programs that can cut silence of the beginning and the end of an mp3, but so far none want to cut from the middle. Doing it manually takes a lot of time and is imprecise. Because during the pauses there is absolutely no input, it should be very easy for a program to detect those silences. Anyone any ideas what program might help me? Thanks!
This program is great for doing it manually. No extra decoding or encoding. http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html I don't see how you could do a very good job other than manually.
