i start my computer but daemon tools isn't in my tray icon. i double click on daemon tools which is on my desktop but it still will not load. any help plzz...ASAP
no it wasn't that. i figured it out but thanks any way. it was something to do with the upnp. you had to hide it and all your tray icons would appear and execute upon startup.
touran22, can you give me stepby step on how to get Daemon to work. have the same problem no opening up at the dest top. How do you hide the upnp. Dan
Since you can't download Daemon Tools from AD anymore, I uploaded to Filewire. Go here to download it if you need it. Daemon Tools 4.0.3 (32-bit) http://www.file-wire.net/index.php?pdl=nvW1AlhEiH08
Correction: The link I provided saves someone from having to search for the program. Your post is useless.
Just for anyone in this thread who installs DAEMON Tools. The latest version does have a toolbar included with it and DAEMON Tools has recieved much criticism for this move with their program. However this searchbar is soley meant to help support their costs and it can be "de-installed" during the initial program setup by deselecting a check box (cant remember exactly when during the installation this is though. So if you see someone calling DAEMON Tools adware don't fret. Here is also the link for the DAEMON Tools homepage... http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php
Well, guys, still I don't understand anything about any upnp or anything. Could you guys tell me how to install the program? it don't want to start.
alright sorry mate hadn't check this forum yet, well any way this is how i done it....click on start>My network places>Show icons for networked upnp devices>click yes. tell me if that works, thanks
Forgive me if this is general knowledge for everyone else but what does DAEMON Tools have to do with networking and UPNP ( Unviersal Plug and Play for any one who didnt know )?? I mean its a emulation device/virtual disc program. I got lost when everyone started talking about networking and stuff. Is it like Alcohol 120% were it can do that iSCSI thing were it can mount the disc and people can access them over the network?? Can someone enlighten me??
Yes, it can. That's not the problem that person's having though...they need to go to the daemon tools site and browse their FAQ. I guarantee they'll find their fix.
if he had the same problem i had then what i done fixed it completly so when he posts back well see if it did or it didn...
I have just save the Daemon tools version 4,and have not downloaded it yet. But when i attemped to download the window message says " this platform is not supported" . Can any body tell me whats next.
