I have a Samsung HT-WX70T connected to my Vizio tv via HMDI cable. When playing DVDs the screen is unusually dark. Items in the background scenes (faces, furniture, etc) are difficult to see.

I've recently upgraded to this systems to get the 1080i output. My older DVD player that broadcast in 480P didn't have the dark resolution problem. What can I change to make this stop?

Friend, I think you would get better suggestions if you were in the correct forum.

Have you tried adjusting the settings on the tv? They usually have different picture settings for things like video games, movies, sports. Each of those settings will change the way the picture looks. I think the movie setting usually gives you a darker image.

Well i really think you should move to an appropriate forum. Even I got no idea about that.

    Sorry.
