Help - I have a Canon EOS300, and when I'm taking pix indoors using the built in flash, they are all coming out fairly dark. Gave the camera to my wife at a christening recently, and on auto setting, she took loads in the church etc. I am having to use fill in light on the PC on most of them. Any ideas? Cheers
Welcome to AD, Firstly, you must remember that no matter what, the built in flash on the camera is very limited in what it can provide. It is not the most powerful flash and therefore it's range is going to be limited to no more than about 3 meters. Second, when using the auto setting, be mindful of the ISO speed your camera has set for you. The higher your ISO speed, the more light that your camera is gathering in for the film / or digital sensor. In this instance, you may have to use a more powerful off camera flash and use a more light sensitive film stock.
