I am hoping that someone might be able to help me. I installed a mod chip and loaded Evox, perfect everything works. I decide to find out if an app can run off the same disc, so I rewrote the Evox ini and created a new done. When I started the new disc no problems until I launched DVD-X v1.0. It stated patching C: drive. Now my xbox will only boot with the mod turned on, when the chip is off is states “Error 13” (Dashboard launch fail). To make matters worse I did not backup my C: drive beforehand. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix my dashboard? Thanks. Ldclan
when you installed evox, it most likely renamed the xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe, ftp into the xbox and see if you can change that file to xboxdash.xbe and it should boot to the original xbox dashboard. if this is the case, you probably have to edit the evox.ini to look for msxboxdash.xbe when looking for the original dashboard.
