When you first install a mod chip, does it come with a dashboard that it loads or do i have to install one. And if i need to install one, which Dashboard is the best.
Modchips do not have dashboards on them, nor can they load them onto your Xbox's HD. You have to do that yourself. You will need something called Slayers which you can find on #xbins. Here is how to do that: http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/xbinshowto.htm You can also find the correct bios you need to flash your chip with on #xbins. Once you get Slayers, it comes as a torrent. Download the torrent file, unrar everything out, and get the Slayers ISO. Burn Slayers onto a quality DVD-R disc using any ISO burning program (like DVD Decrypter) and after it is done pop the disc in your Xbox. You will need to flash your chip before your Xbox can read any backup app discs and backup games, so make sure you get that done first. Now pop in slayers and look for the option that says "Install Apps on E: and EvoX on C:" and go ahead and do that. You'll have your Xbox up and running w/ the EvoX dashboard after it is done installing.
