Hello everyone, I am indeed a newbie here but I have sifted through countless forums to try to find the solution to my problem with no luck. Here's my situation. Recently soft-modded using installer deluxe with evox as my dash and then installing XBMC. I then decided that i wanted XBMC as my default dash but in the during the procedure laid out in their wiki, i renamed my default dash improperly apparently and now when i turn on the xbox it goes straight to error code 13 which i know is dash launch fail. It will load games and I've tried to use a few different games to restore the dash with no success. I of course can no longer connect to the box with FTP so I cannot change any files. I have a version 1.6 xbox...Also, I have a couple of other systems laying around but both are version 1.2. Would they come in handy for restoring the dashboard (such as swapping out the hard drives temporarily? Am i totally locked out here? Is there a disc i can use to restore any dash, MS or otherwise? wait a second wait a second wait a damn second.... how did you mod your xbox? You realize that every exploit available unlocks ftp access to your xbox. I seriously doubt you deleted your exploit so just throw your game in there (splintercell, mech assault, or bond auf) and load your exploit. You should be able to ftp and fix your mistake. Copper is right about auto installer deluxe, but it's easier to throw a link at you though. http://www.aidtracker.com Download the torrent file and a torrent client like BIT TORRENT and it will download the file. Extract the first file and throw Auto installer deluxe v4.30.iso to the desktop. Then use nero or any other burning program to burn the iso (image) to a dvdr. This must a be a dvdr and not a cdr (some xbox's will read cdr's though). Auto Installer Deluxe will have the option to make xbmc your dash so it's that simple.
