Hi guys, i got some vcd(s) (.DAT format) and i wanted to turn all of them in into one dvd-r. Can someone in here guide to what is the best and faster way to do it ???? Thanks
Extract the .dat using VCDGear (to get rid of the headers). You'll have to demux and re-sample the audio to 48KHz. Load up DVD-Lab to author and burn. However, your standalone may not be able to play this modified DVD. Check out the guides on this site to figure out each step.
Ok i am really new to all this, can someone point me to some tutorials or perhaps step by step instructions??? Thanks
VCD is .mpg , sorry to disillusion you (if indeed I have). When you have a proper filetype , you can encode to MPEG2 (which is DVD compliant w/ 48,000Hz & the right screen resolution). Then convert to VOB format ready for burning on DVD±R (VIDEO_TS folder)
