Hope This Question Is O.K To Ask. I Have A DVD Movie and wish to copy it for a back up but when i go to copy it using clonedvd, everything starts o.k but when it reaches a certain percent it comes up with data read error. even i tried with nero and that comes up with the same error. so i reckon my dvd film i am trying to back up is either scratched or no good no more. but the question i ask is is it possible to copy the contents of the dvd movie onto my hard drive and then burn it again to dvd. if so what program would i need to be able to do it. Many Thanks For Any Help
If this is a commercial DVD, you will need to rip it with AnyDVD first. To break the deCSS copy protection it will most likely have.
as RIPPER said you can use anydvd to rip it to your HD(but slysoft recomend you use clonedvd to rip with not anydvd).you can rip to your harddrive with clonedvd heres a little guide for ya and if that dont work for you, seeing that your disc might be scratched clean it real good before using it. and then here is a free program that works great. it has a few programs in one actually. called RIPIT4ME you can get everything from this site here from our guide guru BBMAYO http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/software.htm and here is a link to a thread here done by Arniebear a great link for beginners useing ripit4me http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110 hope this helps you out.
Many Thanks Ripper And CincyRob For Your Reply. Will Try What You Said And Leave You Know How I Go. Once Again Thanks For The Help.
