See the red? Loads of errors... Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening? Im using Sony AccuCORE DVD+R Discs and they seem to be fairly reliable. Nero Express version 6. I hear Version 7 is a no-go zone. Any suggestions?

Burning way too fast, slow to 4X (I did see you tried 6X)

Try updating your Nero to this version, both packages

    Package 1:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

As with Nero 6 there are some versions to avoid...if you do decide to go to Nero 7 then basically any of the later versions from 7.5.9.0 onwards are OK

I did all you said and yet, I still got 100's of thousands of sectors that dont match up with the source. It is strange though because on the whole dvd, roughly only 40 of 2.1 million sectors matched and yet the .avi's seem to work fine. Could it be that these errors are false? The write speed shouldnt be a problem according to the dvd case as it claims from 1x to 16x sony dvd's stay in the "suitable range" yet "other brands" are spec out if they arent burnt from speeds 2-4.

I just did a disc quality test on a burnt one and this is what it came up with.

    General Information
    Drive: DVDRW 16X16X
    Firmware: YTS1
    Disc: DVD+R (SONY D21)
    Selected speed: 8 X
    PI errors
    Maximum: 17
    Average: 4.41
    Total: 42916
    PI failures
    Maximum: 4
    Average: 0.09
    Total: 951
    PO failures: n/a
    Jitter: n/a
    Scanning Statistics
    Elapsed time: 9:14
    Number of samples: 110920
    Average scanning interval: 1.19 ECC
    Glitches removed: 0

    Dont know if that helps.

    Also did another test.

Click here dont think the picture is working though. It had a graph, thats all.
