dbox1

Hi can some one please help me as i have just bought a dbox 1 form ebay i am in scottish highlands i cant get it to work it is for satelite can any please help dozzy scotish woman to get it set up

A dbox1 for satellite is a good box for free to air channels but thats it.
Connect it to a dish and do a channel scan.

hi sorry i have got it into a satellite dish but still nothing what setting should it be at,do i need to change them for scottish highlands or should it work on the setting from normal sky

 

If there is dvb2000 installed switch the dbox to standby, hold down the up and down arrow behind the front flap simultaneously and switch on.
If you see erase on the display you can release the buttons.
Try an scan again.

Which satellite do you use in the scan menu?

 

where does it tell you that i pressed menu then 8.6.3.1 I went to tuner and its going up and down is this right

There should be a satellite option selectable via a number.

 

there is nothing happening but there seems to be no power going to the satellite dish
It has come up with sat search
1 start search
2 mode replace
3 mode quick
4 all transp
5 other
6 fta only
7 tv/radio
8 no tags
9 diseqc: 1

 

Try via 5 astra 19°.
If there is no power at the LNB cable the tuner could be faulty.

 

red box came up after search and said channel invalid reprograming

 

If a scan found no channels thats the normal behaviour.
Are you sure your dish is ok and point at astra 28.2°.

 

hi hope you can help i have jst aquired a dbox1 sat version i have all the channels epg etc but the screen is just blank ie no picture, i also have a dbox2 and know that it is the same but i put the au in and it works fine is tere a fix like this for the sat version? thanks in advance

 

Sky via satellite is simply not cracked.
You can get the none scrambled channels but thats it.

 

hi cheers for that the owner will be none to happy for that just needed it confirmed, so its dead wood expensive paper weight lol
