Hi there, I initially posted this message on the 20th of September. I got no replies and I really need some help so I thought I'd post it again. Hope there's nothing wrong with that: I'm using Nero Vision Express 3.1.0.16 and trying to put some DiVX files onto DVD. Well, I actually succeeded, but the outcome wasn't perfect. The resolution of the original files is 768x432 and the aspect ratio is 16:9. But when I play back my DVD, the picture appears cropped. The file has got subtitles and sometimes you can't see them properly -- you can clearly see that they actually go beyond the edges of my TV screen. Has anybody had this problem before? Any idea how I can solve this? Thanks, [bold]Charlie[/bold] PS: I typed too fast... By "DCD" (in the subject line) I of course meant DVD.
I'd simply try a different program. VSO's DivX to DVD is a whole lot easier to use and may handle the aspect ratio problem you seem to be having. http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm As far as NVE goes, I'd just make sure your Video Options settings are correct. Open the "Make DVD" program and select the "More" button down at the bottom. Select Video Options. General Tab: Select your correct Video Mode, NTSC or PAL depending on where your TV was made. DVD-Video Tab: Set the Aspect Ratio to Automatic. This should be the default setting. These are about only adjustments you can make to NVE as far as screen sizing/Aspect ratio goes. BTW, Make sure you are using the latest version of NVE as well.
I think all my settings were correct, but I'll try again. Thanks for the help. As I said in my other message, I've got version 3.1.0.16. There isn't anything more recent than that, right?
