hi, I am trying to decide which camcorder to get in the $500 range. I am going to use it for capturing family moments etc, nothing professional. I have narrowed it down to these 3 -any suggestions/reccomendation on which one to get? or any others you would suggest in the same price range? thanks a lot.
I recently purchased a Sony DCR-HC42 and it is exceptional. I have already burned about 10 DVD's and countless MPEG videos (with-in about 1 months period of time). The video clarity is like none I have ever seen. I was amazed when I made my first DVD how clear the picture was. For the price, it really is a great camera. I really like the touch screen and the ease of use of all the features. No scrolling wheels, etc... to mess with. I purchased the Sony tripod that can control the camcorder, which I must say, is a GREAT accessory.
