    Taas täällä kysymässä neovoja tuohon Linux hommaan, kun ei taivu niin ei...

    Eli miten kys. Linuxiin saa äänet toimimaan? Pitääkö asentaa joku "ajuri"? (ALSA?) Äänikortti on SoundBlaster 128 (luulisin)

    Entäs kuinka saan HP DeskJet 3420 (usb) tulostimen toimimaan (2.4 kernelin aino laittaa)
    Olisin kovin iloinen jos sasin ohjeet [bold]raulalangasta.[/bold]

    Vai olisiko joku muu Linux sopivampi minulle? (tiedän, olen kysynyt tätäkin) Mandrake ei tule kysymykseen erinäisistä syistä...

    Olen lukenut Debianin kotisuilla olevaa http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Config-HOWTO/x43.html#AEN173
    tiedonlähdettä, liittyen äänikorttiin, mutta en oikein tiedä mitä tehdä.
    Osaako jo auttaa?
    Mites se ALSA:m asennus käytönnössä tapahtuu?

    Juu-u on varmasti ihan hyvä ohje, mutta em ollut englannin tunnilla erityisen aktiivinen, näin ollen en kaikkea (=juurikaan) tuosta ymmärtänyt.

    Voisiko joku kertoa suomeksi kohta-kohdalta miten tulee menetellä, jotta saan äänet toimimaan?

    Alsan asennuksessa on tosiaan mullakin vähän ongelmia.
    ./configure
    checking for gcc... gcc
    checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables

    Tulee ilmotus jo heti alussa. Löytää gcc:n, mutta kun katon sitä config.log lisää, niin ei löydy mitään uutta tietoa vikaan.

    Postaakko vaikka sen config.log:in ja sen ./configure outputin kokonaan tänne...

    Mikä distro kyseessä...??

    Sittren toisessa 40 Mt ohjelmassa tulee
    , että jos tiedät mitä tehdä niin kerro.

    Toi config logi viittaa, että [bold]glibc[/bold]:tä ei ole asennettu, eli asenna se ja kokeile uudestaan...suse:en pitäisi kyllä löytyä alsa ihan rpm paketteinakin, eli niiden asennus voisi onnistua paljon helpommin...

    Asenna [bold]libsndfile[/bold], sekin löytyy varmaankin sieltä susen omista paketeista...

    Onko kyseessä siis 9.1 personal?

    Jos on niin YaST -> Software -> Change Source of Installation

    Add -> FTP

    Serveriksi vaikka
    ftp.uni-kl.de
    hakemistoksi
    pub/linux/suse/i386/9.1/

    Sitten asennat C/C++ systeemit. Noin voi myös lisätä esimerkiksi KDE päivitykset laittamalla hakemistoksi
    pub/linux/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.x/yast-source
    tuon x voi korvata oman version numerolla.

    Voit myös kopioida cd:t tai dvd:n sisällön kiintolevylle esim vaikka hakemistoon /media/SuSE_MEDIA ja lisäät tuon samalla tavalla YaST:issa Add -> Local Directory tämän jälkeen ei tarvitse enää leikkiä levyjen kanssa.

    :DD Kiitos noista tiedoista. libwx_gtk2-2.4.so.0 teidosto varmaan löytyy sieltä serveriltä sitten samalla. Rpm searchista ja googlella koitin koitin etsiä, mutta ei Suse 9.1 distroon löytynyt.

    /Edi Tui ei varmaankaan ole Anonymous serveri (?) koska tulee kummallakin hakemistolla errori ja yritin ilman hakemistoa serverille, sekä muita vaihtoehtoja.

    Tollasta tiedosta ei löydy suoraan sieltä, mutta kun asennat [bold]wxGTK[/bold] paketin, niin sitten ton pitäis löytyä sun koneelta...ja toi paketti kylläkin varmaan löytyy sieltä serveriltä...

    Sitten olisi vielä ongelma libcurl.so.3 tiedostossa, jota en löydä Suseen. Yritin etsiä googlella ja rpm searchilla, mutta löysin vain Mnrkeen ja Alt linuxeen yms. Jostain katoin, että se pitäis linkittää sibcurl.so.2 sesta, mutta ei varmaankaan pelkkä uudelleen nimeäminen auta. Onko kellään ttietoa?? ja tohon ylempäänkin saa vastata, jos edes jotain hajua . thanX

    Asensin ja tulee edelleen sama viesti. Tuolla ei kyllä lue minkään muun asentamisesta.Mitä voi vielä tehdä?

    Suse on kyseessä. Koitin ftp:n kautta, mutta ei onnistunut. Päivitin kaikki Kernelit ja paketit jo alussa. 1 cdn Suse, joten päivityksiä/paketteija ei löydy enää cdltä. [bold] Mistä voi tietää käytänkö Ossia vai Alsaa, kun asensin erään RPM Alsa-driver paketin Suse 9.1 distroon, siis mun distroon. [/bold] Kun kuitenkin äänet toimii ja Terminaalissa voi käyttää alsamixeriä, mikä tuli varmaan niissä päivityksissä.
