If virtual C is mounted you would need to disable it first before doing anything. You can do this is by using SID 4.5 or the latest SID 5.01. Using the exploit disc load the softmod, make sure the LED around the eject button remains green. Don't load the game from unleashX. Power the xbox by pressing the eject button, insert the disc, close the disc tray before the box loads unleashX. Click remove softmod. If you don't have a clean backup of ms dash on your xbox hard drive or pc, or if you are not sure ask the person who did the softmod for you so that you don't end up with error codes. If you do, click remove softmod and it will restore ms dash. Another way would be to FTP while virtual C in unmounted. Delete all the files within C and transfer a clean ms dash from you pc onto xbox C. Another way would be to use AID 4.10. You would need to format C. This deletes all the softmod files. Don't turn off your box because you still need to transfer ms dash onto this partition, if you power down you will receive many error codes. Your backup of ms dash should be in "E:\backup\MS" on your xbox hard drive. Use the file explorer and transfer the contents within the MS folder onto C. If you don't have a ms dash backup, use the AID disc. There is an option to install the retail ms dash 5960. After everything as been completed, check the C partition first and make sure the files transferred into C. If everything is good, reboot and the xbox should load retail ms dash. Before you attempt anything, load the exploit you used to softmod the xbox or an AID disc to backup your eeprom. Learn to FTP by using a crossover data cable and transfer all the contents of your xbox onto your pc first, and make sure you have your eeprom. Many forget to backup their eeprom and end up with useless a xbox.
