I am trying to delete all the Mp3 and WMA files off of my computer so I can re-rip them.

When I try to do that on most of the folders I get this message:

"Cannot delete "Folder Name": It is being used by another person or program.

Close any programs that might be using the file and try again."

I don't have any programs that would be using any of my music open. So I don't know what is going on.

Also, another error that I'm getting is:

"Cannot delete "Folder Name": Access is denied.

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."

And once again I do not have any programs open that would be using any file from this folder.

    Any suggestions would help.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brandvic

Restart your computer and then try deleting. If that doesn't help go here, they recommend a program called MoveOnBoot.

If MoveOnBoot doesn't work try KillBox.
Simply open KillBox and copy and paste the whole path name into the "File Path or File to Delete" box. Then, click the red X.

For example: if the file is in Program Files/Music, you will copy C:/Program Files/Music/filename.mp3

Note: each file has to be deleted individually but, you can also delete entire folders, just do not add a file name.

Either of those should work but, if for some reason they do not, run KillBox in safe mode.

Let me know how that helps.

    Edited for corrections.
