So i have had a Denon AVR-485 sound system for about 4 years now. It was a really good sound system and has been really great... until the last few months. Now when I watch tv, dvds, or play games (all of which go through separate aux channels in the back) the sound cuts about half way out. So for the next couple of minutes to an hour you only get about half of your sound quality. So you turn the sound up so you can hear it again and sometime after it kicks in full force again. I thought it might be bad cables from my game system, but it happens when watching cable also so it is definitely the sound sytem. I have asked some friends of mine and they say it sounds like the soddering has gone bad in it. Ayone have any ideas or remedies?
yes i checked that the copper wires in the back of the system that connect the speakers seem to be connected well for the most part. Im new to working with speakers like this though, so do all of the little copper strands need to be touching in the back or just the majority?
Best is all (I'm lucky to get 90% to fit, but please try to do better than me) and make sure none of the loose strands touch
yeah im probably doing about as well as you, they dont seem to touch, its probably some internal problem.
