desktop to laptop via crossover

    I need some help connecting my desktop to a laptop. I have hooked a crossover cable between them, and have "shared" a folder on my desktop. I cannot get the laptop to recognize anything in "my network places" but it does recognize a connection via the crossover. any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    did you set up the network wizard to share folders?

    there is some tutorials on how to do this

    if u go to start>all programs>accesories>microsoft interactive training
