I have burnt quite a few DVD backups recently and watched some so i know the process is going fine.

The problem is that i found on one (whilst randomly playing some tracks) the DVD freezes at a certain point. Each time at the same point.

Is this the result of a bad disk or something else? And is there an app or some way to 'detect' a bad disk after my backup - i dont want to have to sit and watch each movie after i back it up.

    Thanks.

dvdinfopro or something like that can analyze the disc. Also, what media are you using?

The media in this instance was ritek g04.

The procedure im using incidentally is dvddecrypter, vobblanker, menuedit, dvdshrink(or rebuilder with CCE if compression is greater than 10%),nero.

Is it possible for a 'dud' disk to burn to completion - or would it always fail during the burn? The vob files that i burnt from play fine.
