One day I was working on my project, I plugged my USB in just to save a copy into the USB. Then when I plug it in another PC on WinXP, it was alright for 5 min and then it says Removable Disk has been safety removed or stopped. Then I took the USB out and plug back in, it doesn't show up any drives in My Computer. The other USB I had was OK and working. So I took the USB and plug it into Linux Mint and it doesn't show up any icons in the Desktop or My Computer.

Did my USB short circuit by it self? All important work is in there, expect I backed some up!
    Help!!!
    Thanks.

could be a software error.could be your data is on the usb but full of errors.could be a bad connection or bad usb drive.I recently got a 128GB kingston usb stick from china and it doesnt work properly barely works at all.
