I'm planning on uninstalling my softmod, however, I didn't backup my EEPROM because I only installed UnleashX, not EvoX. Is that going to affect the uninstall, or is it ok if I go ahead and uninstall it without backing up the EEPROM?

You NEED to back up the epprom before you try to uninstall. If you make a mistake while doing the uninstall you could turn your xbox into a door stop. Feel free to ask more questions if needed. Good Luck.

How do I backup the EEPROM? When I installed Unleashx I didn't see an option for it anywhere.

I heard you can use the program ConfigMagic. Should I use that?

Honestly I do not know how to create the epprom.bin file using unleashx. First thing I would suggest just ftping in to your xbox and looking around for epprom.bin. Any unleashx fan now where to find the epprom.bin in unleashx ?

If I were to put EvolutionX on my Xbox, which folder do I put it in? I don't want to use it as my start-up dashboard, I just wanna run it as an application so I can backup my EEPROM with it. So do I put it in the apps folder?

Also, I don't have the right setup to FTP, so I have to do everything using discs. :|

I'm pretty sure It would work in the apps folder, thats where I put dashboards I want to test. What do you mean you don't have the right setup? Do you not have the hardware? or you just can't figure how to set it up?

My computer is like 20 feet from my xbox, and I didn't have a long enough cable to connect the two.

I tried setting up an FTP connection with a wireless adapter, similar to this one (but it's made by Nyko):

I couldn't get it to connect though. I suppose I could go get a long enough cable sometime. For know though, I just transfer stuff with CD and DVD-Rs.
