Difference in playback from Mac DVD player and sony standalone

    I use DVDbackup with OSX to rip my DVDs
    DVD shrink (on my PC) to compress them
    Toast Titanium to burn them

    The movie plays fine on my Mac DVD player, but when I play it on the standalone, there's a choppy frame every so often (long horizontal bar from the previous frame carries over). It's not the original DVD cause I checked so I was wondering if this was caused by ripping the DVD or compressing it? And how can I fix this problem? Any advice would be much appreciated.

    DVD2One v1.11 (http://www.dvd2one.com) or DVD Shrink [free]
    Nero 5.5.9.9.

    Sony DVP-NS305
    Mirror 110
    Bush DVD/VHS Combo
    PS2 v4 [or above] all these stand alones play OK.
