Well, I own a CyberHome DVR-1600 DVD Recorder, and I most often jump between the sites of Video Help.com and AfterDawn. Well, a while back I had been looking for some hacks on how to be able to copy Macro protected tapes as well as DVDs. To all my searching, there were dozens of Region hacks (as always) but of course, no Macro. hacks. So, I proceeded to buy a cheap video stabilizer and ended up returning it because of it's shitty quality. It'd totally jitter up the vid.'s picture-FYI, it was the DVS-2 Video Stabilizer. So, I was stumped on how to do this w/o having to shell out fifty bucks to run the damn thing through my PC. BUT; just tonight, I took a glance one more time @ the DVD Hacks for my recorder, and sure as shit, someone had a workaround figured out...................now, as a disclaimer, I will say that I have not yet tried this method out yet, but I'm definitely going to in the near future; so anyway, this is the exact quote on the workaround from "maddog" of VideoHelp.com:
Well, there you have it, a workaround on the macro protection using only an RF Modulator!

P.S. As said before, I have not yet tried to perform this method w/ my recorder yet, but it definitely sounds like it will work. The only personal thoughts I have about this is about the video quality (since you're running it through a coaxial cable.) and if the recorder still can detect a macro signal EVEN through a "TV antenna's" signal. ALSO, if someone has already known about this workaround, please don't bicker at me and telling me how stupid I am about being excited over this; because I truly am..............nobody has ever posted a good macro workaround/hack on VidHelp.com; so if this works, I will be very greatful!!!!!! Thank you all of the people and users of AfterDawn and Video Help.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. P.S. I also hope also that if this is in fact a newly discovered workaround, hopefully one of the mod's can sticky it.
