Sorry folks! i know this hasnt much to do with this neck of the woods, My starview4 is involved here though, looking for a bit of sound advice here, This has me puzzled.....
I have a nasty "hum" comming from my stereo when its on, Now! This is my set up, The stereo is a technics sf-dv-290 stack system, i have 2 cdj 400s, 1 technics 1210mk2 leading into a pionner djm 600 mixer running into the stereo, (the turntable is defo grounded ;) ) also running into the stereo is the sv4 usb box, Now when i turn the volume up fully on the digi box, and lower the volume on the stero, the "hum" isnt so bad, its still thare though, But when im playing music its really bad, when im playing dvds on the stereos player its fine, no "hum" ????? Im lost, any ideas.......

Ha Ha That humming noise is called Resonance,(hum is easer to spell:p) its like the sound when you dont ground a turntable to the back of a mixer. hence "hum" i always have the box switched off when i have the decks on, im usualy on top of these things, cant figure this one out though?

Problem solved! i disconected everything from the stereo, then reconected everything one by one, turned out the Resonance,(hum) was caused by the box???? even when it was powered off it was still happining...... Like a grounding problem, nothing major though.
