    HI,
I am researching digital camcorders to replace a 1996 sonycam 8mm that has served me well but is ready for retirement. What i want to find out is if there are any recommendations for a digital camcorder that uses AA batteries. I have found many cams that use AAA batts and are a lesser zoom. Although MPs are important I think more important will be a zoom of at least 30, hopefully more. Ive been placing alot of importance on having the AA capability even though I have never owned a lithium ion rechargable battery camcorder,It just feels like the right (or easier to maintain) thing to do, any opinions on that?

I think its time to switch with the times.
Lithium ion lasts a lot longer and takes less time to charge.
Plus I don't think there are any decent camcorders available that don't have lithium ion.

    HI,
yes im starting to see that, other than a couple odd-balls on ebay that are only 4X zoom anyway, most all that I find are LI batts. Thanks for the advice!
