Does it not make sense? Now that Digital only signals are just about here with the BEST possible reception. How soon before Satellite Dish Television is obsolete? Why spent millions to launch a satellite when over the air from an on the ground antenna works just as well.I remember hearing that the whole reason that cable t.v was invented was pretty much for better reception.I personally canceled my satellite subscription last year,I was sick of paying all that money for very few good channels.

I agree there's very few good channels. But, I'll bet that my very few good channels are different from your's. And somebody else's is different from both of us.

Local digital channels will never take the place of cable or satellite. They are still just local, network channels. They can never broadcast HGTV, Food Network, TNN, TNT, Discovery, TLC, etc. And they definitely can't take the place of HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc.

If you just want to watch local channels, knock yourself out!
    I want more...........
