do u have downloader 10 and bin file v4000 on desktop on pc,null modem cable from pc to box,clickon downloader to open select browse and look for bin file v4000,click on that file to open which in turn puts file into downloader and click download,if it downloadsu have it on correct com port,if not try changing com port to 2,3,4,etc and retry ,if that does not work u have wrong cable,
thanks for the reply so quick.I have a usb-rs232 cable its a male end so i have a gender changer on the end.im wondering if this is the right cable to use i have downloader 10 and v4000 bin file....there doesn seem to be a problem with the software.it also wont allow me to upload channels!!!maybe you can help.thanks
You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.
