direct and nero vision express

    Hi

    this might seem like a daft question but...
    i need to install direct x 9 to run nero, it asks me where to install it and i have no idea where to install it?

    please help

    ok cool
    have done but what i mean is it asks me where on my pc i want to place the extracted files? is there a folder in windows?

    Mine is under C:WINDOWS\system32\and here is Directx 9

    Just out of curiosity, so you never have Directx 9.0C on your system before? and Nero Vision is asking you to install?

    Another good application that has Directx 9 is C-Media 3D.

    hi

    so i have downloaded direct x, evertime i go to update nero 6 with vision express 3 it just says must have direct x 9 or higher.. i have it installed so why cant it see it??

    No, not necessary. Once you have it installed on your system, it should be recognized by all/any applications/softwares that required DirectX 9.0C -- but where did you installed to? Since now you've already installed DirectX 9 on your system, maybe you need to get Nero's General Clean Tool from Nero's website and completely clean Nero out from your system. Then do a fresh re-install Nero back and see this time you'll have a successful.

    I don't know about you, but I've never ran into any issues regarding DirectX 9.0C or higher because I've always have that on my system.

    Good luck and I hope you'll have it resolved in due time. If for some reason Nero Vision Express 3 can not detect/see it and it's giving you error, but you've got DirectX 9.0C on your system already, then maybe you might want to contact Nero Support.
